Coming at you on the blog today is a Fresh 48 Session, a documentary-style shoot where I come in and photograph the baby within the first two days of birth. This session features the Rauch family and their newest addition, Connor.

Stop, breathe and remember: all newborns cry! This is a natural, real emotion that all newborns have for most of their first few months of life. These tender moments are just as important, if not more so, than the sleeping, posed photos.

With young children especially, making sure you’re a little bit early to your photo session to have what we like to call the Pre-Session Warm Up, is probably one of the most important tips I can give you for your child’s photo session.
