FAQs


What Type of Camera Gear do you Use?

Our camera gear is some of the best in the industry. This allows us to work in any venue and capture amazing photos.

We use both Canon and Nikon as they are the two most widespread digital photography brands. Both brands have their strengths and weaknesses - Canon is better when it comes to compatibility, while Nikon wins on the mirrorless market.

We also have back up batteries, back up chargers as well as back up cameras and lenses. We take no chances on the day of your shoot.

 

How far in Advance should we Book?

For weddings - ideally you want to book at least 6 months away from your wedding. This gives you better odds that we are available.

For any other session - as soon as you have a date in mind let us know so we can check our availability & schedule your session in. The sooner the better.

 

How many Photos will we Receive?
This all depends on the specific package you have chosen.

 

How does Payment work?

Cash is king, but cards are just as welcome! We ask a 25% first payment on the day you sign and return your Booking Form. This payment allows us to secure your date and remove it from our calendar.

Nothing else but your wedding or photo session will happen that day. We operate this way simply to ease your mind.

We also offer Down Payment Plans because there is no need to worry about finances when you should be worry free!

Do you charge a Travel Fee?

Since our home-base is Bloubergstrand (Western Cape, South Africa) and while we absolutely LOVE to travel, if you want us to photograph your story, it will require an additional travel fee.


For Lifestyle Packages, if you’re outside our 25km radius, we charge standard AA Rates.
For Wedding Packages, please chat with us directly.

But no matter what package you choose, we will always break it down in your Booking Form & Invoice so that you will never be surprised by any hidden costs/fees.


How will you Deliver our Images?
For Lifestyle Packages, we send you your Viewing Session within 3 - 4 weeks after your session with us. 

For Weddings, we send you your Viewing Session within 6 - 8 weeks after your big day.

Once you have chosen your final package images, then it can take anything from 2 - 6 weeks for us to finalize things for you - all dependent on whether you have print products that require special design & layouts as well as taking the print store's lead-times into consideration. 

The best thing to remember is - the faster you choose your final images, the faster we can get them to you! So don't leave us hanging! :) 


All final chosen images are shared either via a WeTransfer link or via one of our gorgeous Rose Gold & Crystal engraved USBs - package dependent of course.

 

What if We, or our Family, want Prints?
We love when clients order prints! Simply request our Printing Services Info & Rates, decide what you would like to order - printed photographs, wooden photo blocks, photo albums/photo books and canvasses - place your order with us and you are good to go! Payments need to be made upfront.

Lead time on all printing orders are 7 - 10 business days once full payment has been received & final art has been approved by you.


Do you Edit all of our Photos?
Every photo that you receive will be edited to match our style of work that you see on our site. This includes things like colour correction and light blemish removal. Our "retouching" is minimal and is kept to enhancing the image.


Our style of photography is pure and artistic, is kept true to you and the chapter in your lives that we are here to capture for you.

Please note that should you require extensive editing and/or retouching, this is seen as an additional service & will be charged accordingly.


How long After our Session will we Receive our Photos?

Our turnaround time is an average of 4 - 12 weeks total, depending on your type of shoot.
We do our very best to deliver your final images to you as soon as we possibly can.
However, since we generally have several clients at any given moment and even though we are busy,
we still like to give your photos the special attention that they deserve and that takes time.


Do you Always use Flash?

No. We use flash Only when it Adds to the images!
We use lighting in situations that require lighting.

 For weddings, for example, we will do everything we can to not use flash during your ceremony.
We do typically use flash during your reception. Being able to freeze your best dance moves is important for bragging later, and flash makes that possible.


What if you fall Sick & can't make the Shoot?

This is literally our worst nightmare. We will work through almost anything and any situation to create images you love.


However, if we cannot make it and our nightmare becomes reality, we do have options.
We have plenty of wonderful photographers on stand - by who we can call in for your shoot.
We will only ask this of people we trust 100% and we know who can deliver work equal to ours.


Are your Wedding Packages Flexible?

Of course! When you contact us, we will give you options for amount of coverage, a second photographer, and whether or not you will need an engagement shoot or make use of our Printing Services.
